Jamie Carragher took time out of his recovery from last night's 2-0 win over FK Rabotnicki to send a message of support to Liverpool Football Club's 'Ability Counts' team.
The vice-captain was quick to offer his best wishes to the lads, who have now arrived in Switzerland ahead of a four team competition that will be held in conjunction with the National Swiss Cup qualification tournament on Saturday. "It's great to see the LFC disabled football team travelling out to Switzerland again this year," Carra told Liverpoolfc.tv. "We have met up with them during our pre-season training in the past and they have always put a smile on our faces. I wish them the best of luck and hope they all enjoy themselves." Liverpool's No.23 wasn't the only member of the first-team squad to wish the team good luck either, after they bumped into Philipp Degen at Manchester airport. The Swiss defender was only too happy to pose for photographs and sign autographs ahead of the one and a half hour flight to Zurich. The Reds will now embark upon an afternoon of training alongside one of Saturday's opponents, Werder Bremen as they complete their preparations for the competition.
They also have a visit planned to FIFA HQ on Friday afternoon.
