Steven Gerrard : " i may retire in 2013 "


Inspiring 29-year-old Liverpool skipper and worlds best attacking midfielder Steven Gerrard stunned everyone especiallly Liverpool fans by revealing that He may retire when his current contract expires in 2013.

Its been reported that Steven Gerrard has hinted previously that he is unlikely to play on into his mid-thirties and recently he did mentioned that FIFA Worldcup 2010 could be his last chance to win Worldcup for England.

Steven Gerrard said, “I will be 33 at the end of my contract and it’s doubtful whether I’ll carry on. If I decide to stop, I’ll be proud of the fact I’ve spent my entire career with the same club. And I don’t want to think about wearing any other shirt in the future.”

Gerrard also revealed that he gave serious thought to leaving Anfield for Chelsea four years ago, before changing his mind late in the day.

He Said, “I’ve thought about leaving Liverpool twice during my career, especially in 2005 when Chelsea was a temptation. But I’m glad I never turned those thoughts into reality”.

Reds Captain Steven Gerrard has insisted he is certain he will have a Premier League title by then. “If we don’t win the title this year, it’ll be the next, or the year after and that will be the greatest moment of my career.”
